We have had the great pleasure to work for some amazing companies and people. At Migo Marketing, we believe the journey is just as important as the destination. So our customers have a different kind of experience, where they feel like they are always a priority, they have open and honest communication with us, and we are always respectful of their identity as a company while challenging ourselves to raise the bar in meeting set goals.
This was an exciting project to be a part of from inception. When owners Joel Graves and Matt Tate, first approached Migo – they had little more than an idea. After both competing on Discovery Channel’s Bushcraft Build-off, being certified survival instructors, and combat veterans — they wanted to start their own survival training and consulting company.
At Migo, we helped them to define a business strategy and brand, developed name and logo ideas for the business. We worked with Joel & Matt to identify a brand that represented their personal style and the company they wanted to build.
With almost 100% of business transactions taking place online, American Survival Co. needed a robust website that offered a fully capable store front, class calendars, blog, video and sophisticated form system with digital signatures for class waivers. With no true physical presence, the website would serve as their online office and had to be sophisticated, yet simple for the user to navigate.
We had to make the American Survival Co. story come alive, which we did through video and photography paired with exciting copy. Then we needed to share the story with the world. Migo Marketing set up a Facebook Page (including events for each class) Instagram and YouTube channel for American Survival, as well as got them involved in MeetUp and started an e-newsletter.
We continue to provide support to American Survival Co. creating print materials, managing social media and providing active management of their website.

Thynk Health approached Migo Marketing in the initial stages of their business in search of a website and marketing strategy. We developed a three phase approach that began with launching a new website, writing the copy and developing a corporate branding guide in Phase 1. During Phase 2, we focused on building brand awareness through a PR strategy, corporate events and a content marketing strategy.
The final Phase included building and executing a business to consumer marketing strategy using automated marketing campaigns, social media blasts and print materials. Key elements of our work with this client have included: web design, branding, content creation, strategy, SEO, social media planning, conference and trade show support, graphic design, drip marketing and email campaigns, and project management.
When Troy and Della, the creators of “The Berea Podcast”, decided they wanted to use their podcasting skills and experiences to help others start a digital conversation they turned to Migo Marketing for help.
If you’ve never met the pair or listened to their podcast (start there), but we can tell you they have unique, creative, and big personalities. Defining a brand that would encompass their personalities, while bringing the vintage feel of the front porch conversation into the digital age would be no easy task. We love the logo that came from this collaboration. It is truly unique and exactly them.
The website, while is simple and modern in design, is complex in functionality offering e-commerce for workshop sales, booking for individual appointments, podcast, and live radio broadcasting in addition to the standard functions of a website.
This was an exciting project. We love helping our partners identify their style, platforms, and processes to deliver the best possible products to their clients.
We first began working with MACED by providing marketing services to their clients, small businesses throughout Eastern Kentucky. After building dozens of websites and developing marketing strategies in Appalachia, they asked us to help them with several internal projects. The first was developing the MACED Enterprise Development website, which would offer online loan applications with smart logic to pre-qualify applicants and allow for applicants to save their application and come back and finish it later. We built their website using WordPress with a number of state-of-the-art plug-ins to accomplish their goals.
Another project regarded transforming a paper and email intensive process between three parties that initiated and reported on projects.
We installed a project management dashboard where all parties could access and manage their projects. Now MACED and their clients have full visibility into projects, time lines and progress. Consultants now have the ability to propose projects, report progress, provide access to deliverables, communicate with clients and upload their invoices online. This has reduced email redundancy and created efficiency and transparency throughout the process.
In addition to website development work, we have built automated email campaigns, print marketing campaigns and assisted MACED with several strategies regarding new products and services.
A Child’s Place contacted Migo Marketing for help with their web presence, which had been unmanaged for several years and marketing strategy. Their goal was to attract more families to their daycare center and improve service to their current customers with a more sophisticated and effective online presence.
One of the essential requests of the project, was it needed to be easy to manage and maintain. For that reason, we built the website in Wix which offers a very user-friendly interface and provided extensive training to their administrative staff on how to make updates and manage the site without effecting the professional style.
Knowing that visuals would be huge for parents searching out child care providers, we consulted with the facility on their building aesthetics, making recommendations room by room to improve the appeal to parents. Following the update to the building design, we hired a professional photographer to capture the new look and day care in action. This made a huge difference in their online appearance. We were then able to update social media networks and online profiles like Facebook, Google, Yelp, Care.com and others with their simplified logo, fantastic images, and new copy!
One of our strengths at Migo Marketing is our knowledge of applications that take your website from being an online billboard to being an effective business tool for your organization. What we don’t already know, we are willing to learn, and A Child’s Place was a great example of that. Part of their project was to build the ability for online applications and payments. With extensive experience in ecommerce and form systems, we could have easily leveraged something we had done a dozen times before. But we went the extra mile to learn the daycare system, ProCare, that the center was already using. We worked with ProCare to build out the application and payment systems through their system so everything would be integrated into their system, eliminating additional data entry and saving administration hours each week. By working with their existing system, we were also able to set up a parent portal that allows parents to have more access to their child’s information and care.
Upon completion of their online presence, we developed several print materials including a brochure, check list for parents during tours, and letterhead for future document creation. We really enjoyed working on this project and it was an immediate success for our client!
